Celebrating Love Undeniable!

Youth Alive celebrated its 27th Anniversary yesterday and we are so overwhelmed with what God is doing among our young people. We have been touched and transformed by His love, in ways you can never imagine. Each of us here, have experienced God’s love in a very special way and that’s what keeps us going week after week. You can call us a crazy bunch of people who want to see the world become a better place. We choose to never get tired of doing whatever it takes to see this happen. Of course, our biggest strength, undeniably, is Jesus, through whom we believe ALL things are possible and to put it even better, we trust that the end to all addictions is found at the foot of the Cross. We are passionate about helping young people become all that they can be by helping them get rid of addictions, stay focused and finally watch them fly way high!

Young people, while trying to live a life that is worthy of human approval and getting ahead in the rat race, often forget love and respect.  Here at Youth Alive that is exactly what we experience! Love and respect! We don’t judge, no matter what race, color, creed or social background one hails from. Everyone is treated as an equal, just as God created and intended to be.  We help each other to see the world for what it is.

We were just a handful when we started out and now we are about four hundred who meet every Saturday evening. The best thing about Youth Alive is that nothing stops us from worshipping God in the way we like to, through music, arts, and different ways of reaching out. We believe that everyone is made unique with unique gifts and talents. We love to reach out to the youth of the city by putting all of our gifts and talents together to portray God’s love that can touch and transform their lives too. Sometimes, we run campaigns such as “Say No to Drugs,” “Save a Girl Child,” etc. These spread awareness on the dangers of sin and emphasize clean living because ultimately God calls us to be holy.

Work at Youth Alive runs solely on the support of volunteers who are totally sold out for God. We thank God for each of them because if it were not for them, we would never have been able to make an impact whatsoever. Each of us has a testimony to share.

So what exactly do we aim to do? We have fun while learning from one another the tips and strategies to succeed in life without compromising on our integrity. We are interested in building youth from inside out, by encouraging them to excel and be champions in whatever they do: be it education, business, music, arts, entertainment,  media, family, government or politics. Here, at Youth Alive we learn to live a life worthy of love and respect; and make lasting friendships. We can make a difference in this city by helping those struggling with various addictions to become overcomers. Join hands with us as we partner with Jesus to fulfill His desire for Youth Alive in becoming a lighthouse for those seeking help to restore beauty for ashes!
