A “Two-Fold” Blessing from Calvary

At New Life Assembly, the first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday. Today, as we partake of the bread and wine, we celebrate the Lord’s death on our behalf.

When we hold these two emblems in our hand, we are reminded of the blessings that has come to us through the death of Jesus at Calvary. The bread represents His broken body and wine represents the blood He shed for us.

His body was broken for our HEALING and His blood was shed for the FORGIVENESS of every sin. It’s a two-fold blessing.

King David in Psalm 103:2,3 (KJV) mentions about these blessings.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who FORGIVETH all thine iniquities; who HEALETH all thy diseases”

The FIRST Blessing that is available to you is HEALING from every sickness.

Prophesying about Jesus’s death, Isaiah 53:5 declares…

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”

Apostle Peter reiterates this in I Peter 2:24

“He himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.”

Peter declares it’s a DONE deal. By His wounds you HAVE BEEN healed. Jesus has already purchased our healing by the stripes He bore that day.

Jesus told his disciples in Mark 16:17,18

“And these signs will accompany those who believe…..

they will place their hands on sick people, and they WILL get well.”

Are you sick today? Healing is available to YOU in Jesus’ Name!

The SECOND blessing that’s available to every person is FORGIVENESS from every sin.

Hebrews 9:22 "In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness."

Jesus came from heaven to give His life as a ransom for many. He came to seek and to save that which was lost. He shed His blood at Calvary to save the world from their sins.

Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many."

Jesus’s blood was pure and holy and it was shed willingly for the sins of ALL people. Only the blood of Jesus can truly forgive us from every sin – completely.

Are you struggling in your sins? His blood has ALREADY purchased your forgiveness and your salvation.  It’s available to you FREE – if you ask Him.
