We had a wonderful Missions Convention last week. We were deeply encouraged by your response to our faith promise giving this year. We’re believing the Lord for greater things! We encourage each of our Carecells to plan to go out – at least twice this year.
The well-known beverage, Coca Cola started in 1886 and dominated the world for most of their 131-year history. Today, over 1.7 billion servings of Coke products are consumed every day. It is said that…
97% of the world has heard of Coca Cola
72% of the world has seen a can of Coca Cola
51% of the world has tasted a can of Coca Cola
They want every human being on this planet to taste it once in their lifetime. If God had given the task of world evangelization to the Coke company, it would probably be done by now.
Romans 10:13-15
“EVERYONE who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in?
And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?
And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?
As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
This Good News of Jesus Christ is for everyone and ALL of us can have a part.
1. All of us can PRAY
Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
2. ALL of us can GIVE to support financially
Phil. 4:15,16 “Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.”
3. All of us must GO and TELL the Lost
Many of us can go on a short-term Mission trip. And the challenge would come to some of us to give our lives for full time Missions.
Matt. 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ ”
George Stott, a one-legged school teacher from Scotland, volunteered for missionary service in China. When asked why he with only one leg thought of going to China, he said, “I do not see those with two legs going, so I must.” Thus began his more than twenty years of missionary work in China.
“Lord, please reignite our passion to reach the lost”
